“Richard Hammond is stable but remains seriously ill”

Richard Hammond, Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond, BBC Top Gear presenter, had crashed yesterday, September 20. The news says:

A spokesman said Hammond’s condition, which was described as serious but stable, had showed some improvement overnight.

The full article is here.

We all are keeping our fingers crossed for Hammond. All three of them (Hammond, Clarkson and May) have become nearly part of our family. Looking forward for the good news.

Be careful!

The below e-mail I got this morning. It’s sad and a warning for all of us. Be careful!

Dear colleagues!

There is a tragedy that happened to my wife’s sister. God save you all from this!
On early morning of the 1st of September the young woman (Azita Ali-zadeh) came out from her apartment for little shopping. In 2 hours her 11 years old son got worried because she was supposed to be back soon. He called his Grandma and when she arrived they rushed around trying to find the woman. It was 20:00 when they received some news from the police station about an accident near new building project. A board with some nails fell down from a scaffold on top level of the building. How the board could fall over the fence onto the pavement with high traffic – it is the question for the court examination. But it is clear that there is a gross violation of security measures. (The fence was not installed on the proper distance from the building and no protective net was stretched).

The women got serious wounds of head and died on the way to hospital. Her son, Ruslan Ali-zadeh, is now a child who has lost both his parents.

(Father died in a car accident when Ruslan was not born yet).
It is a warning for all of us. Baku is experiencing a building boom and far not all of new building projects follow required security measures. Please be careful!
