10. Sfera Alarm Clock

Sfera is a radio alarm clock which hangs above your bed and wakes you in the morning by forcing you physically to get out of bed. When you set the alarm, the glowing Sfera gradually dims and the music gently fades out as you drift off to sleep. When the alarm chimes in the morning, the only way to silence it is to reach up and gently tap the Sfera. This action initiates the snooze function, but it also makes the Sfera rise above your head towards the ceiling. As it slowly rises away from your reach, you must stretch higher each time to gain another ten minutes of snooze. When it reaches the ceiling, you have no option but to reach for it and drag it back down to your bed – an action which switches off the alarm and forces you finally to get up.

Have I mentioned before that I’m a Sims-player? Well you know it for sure now The last expansion pack I played was the Sims2: Nightlife. It was ok, but I already lost my interest in the game (recently I even killed one my Sim just to see what will happen, but don’t worry – I haven’t saved the game so he is alive and happy ). But it looks like I won’t have a free time for long – the Maxis have already issued new expansion pack Sims2: Open for Business, and more over – on the 13th of April there also will be available The Sims2: Family Fun Stuff Pack. The Open for Business has a lot of new opportunities – own business, employees, clients, headache . The Family Fun Stuff will be only a new collection of furniture, clothing, and décor. It’s ok, but I play in the wall-less mode, so all the new stuff won’t change a lot .

My husband has noticed that 3 days ago my blog has passed 2 years line. Heh, that was quick. Though I do not update it very often, but I haven’t abandoned it, and this is goooood… The passed 2 years have developed into 37 pages, 369 posts (statistically – it is in average 1 post in 2 days), 276 comments (part of which is spam ), Google page rank 5, and stable about 20 visitors a day.

As per zaur’s request I decided to share my life with you . It’s only my resume, just to have an overall impression of me .

Yesterday the Baku AutoShow in Baku was closed. I must say that the last years AutoShow were not the best one… NOt even OK.. This year’s one is OK, though you can find more types and models of vehicles on the street in downtown . As I already said in my old posts – I like big trucks and I cannot lie – and on the show I’ve found one (on the picture). But if you prefer BMW, Mercedes or GM – visit the WagonLog – the rest AutoShow cars’ photos are there…

Confessions Of A Server

OH MY! Life is so unfair! What did I do wrong to be born a server in this day and age? I could have been a nice simple bicycle that people happily rode around on all day. But no, I’m stuck inside this metal case serving web pages instead. I never even see the light of day and all I can hear is the rush of the air-conditioning!
Well, no more! I’m relaxing here with a cup of tea and a biscuit until someone shows me some love and attention.

It never takes them long to fix me when I kick up a fuss so check back in a few minutes and I’ll be chugging along merrily again.!

Yesterday I watched the subject movie. And I must say I enjoyed it… I enjoyed it a lot! I have a sin to re-tell a movie story to my friends, but this one you all must see yourselves! And it doesn’t matter whether you like Val Kilmer or not. It is a great movie of lots of laugh, suspense and idea.

Yesterday was the Last Tuesday. What is the Last Tuesday? Well, it is the last Tuesday before Novruz Bayram. What is Novruz Bayram? Hmmm, this is literally the Spring Holiday. Or, let’s say, this is the New Year Holiday. Below is what our HR sent to us today.

According to the old pagan tradition the New Year for Azerbaijanians starts with Spring equinox.
People raise wheat (samani ), make plov, traditional cookies and sweets, burn holiday candles, make wishes, and forgive past offences and wrongdoings.
Azerbaijan is called the Land of Fire; in some Azerbaijan regions you can watch how the fire comes right from the earth. Tradition calls for one to make a wish and jump over the fire.
Kids may knock on your door and leave an empty hat in front of it; one then puts sweets, candies and fruits in the hat.

Well, this is basically true. So, the 20-21st of March are holidays. Nice. Will eat sweets and make wishes.
